It all started at NLand Surf Park, where we worked together. I was her supervisor, completely unaware that she had the biggest crush on me. Little did I know, she had already decided over nine years ago that I was going to be the man she would marry. Meanwhile, I was too blind to see just how amazing she was.

Time passed, and what started as a simple work connection grew into something much more. But the moment I knew I was in love? That was the day I went to her mom’s house for the first time. I remember sitting there, watching her excitedly flip through old family photos, sharing childhood stories with me. As I looked at her, completely in her element, I felt something overwhelming, I loved her. Not just in a passing way, but in the kind of way that makes you realize your life is forever changed.

From that moment on, there was no more being blind to what was right in front of me. She had always been the one.

Now, after years of love, laughter, and growing together, we’re so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife. We can’t wait to celebrate our journey with all of you!

It all began in the summer of 2017 when we worked together at a surf park. I was a shy 20-year-old who had no idea how to flirt, but I had a huge (and very obvious) crush on my supervisor. He didn’t feel the same way at the time, but we both enjoyed being young, carefree, and soaking up summer.

Some people are superstitious about soulmates, but from the very beginning, I had a strange feeling about him—like he was meant to be in my life. As it turns out, he was.

When the surf park shut down, we stayed in touch over the years and eventually reconnected. I was hesitant at first. We had been spending a lot of time together, talking late into the night like best friends, but I wasn’t looking for a relationship.

Then one day, while I was on a cruise with my family, I had a moment of clarity. I remember the exact moment I realized I was in love with him. From then on, everything fell into place.

We moved in together and began building an incredible life side by side. And now, after all this time, we’re overjoyed to finally be calling each other husband and wife!
