Our story begins in the spring of 2019 at Cornell University. Naturally, Nick and Kennedy were arguing over the greatest athlete of all time. Kennedy made the case for Lebron James, while Nick insisted it was Tiger Woods. Shortly after this introduction, Kennedy’s soccer team was hosting a formal. Kennedy and her two friends, decided to invite three basketball boys to accompany them. Nick was Kennedy’s “date.” They both had a fun time and quickly became good friends.

That summer, both Nick and Kennedy were looking for a show to binge and discovered that neither of them had watched Game of Thrones. They decided to watch it at the same time daily, so they could have someone to debrief with. As they made their way through 8 seasons, they talked all day, every day. By the end of the summer, they both realized that their friendship was turning into more.

When Kennedy returned to Ithaca to start her senior soccer season, Nick decided to drive to Ithaca early and surprise her. He confessed his feelings for her and after a long and awkward evening hanging out in her apartment, he said “let's just get this over with” and kissed her.

They had their first official date on August 31st at the NY State Fair, where Nick asked Kennedy to be his girlfriend. Since then, they have lived together in apartments in Ithaca, Oakland, Dallas, and now their first home in Syracuse, NY with their two cats, Peach and Puma.
