Spencer has been Nick's friend through high school and college. Both were part of the same church youth group, Boy Scout troop, and fraternity at the University of Cincinnati. Their friendship has lasted a long time, even after graduation.

Ben and Nick met at the University of Cincinnati during their pledge semester at Triangle Fraternity, later finding out they both are from the Toledo area. Ben never fails to make life fun, and always can make someone smile.
