Like most love stories, this one too started with lumberjacks, a magical snowy land, and margaritas. Nick and Lia met at Kellogg School of Management in 2018 when they were set up as "buddies" for an event during the annual ski trip in Aspen, CO. Prior to the trip, Nick asked Lia out for a coffee that somehow turned into margaritas, in what Lia now calls the "ambigu-date" as both left thinking "Was that a date? I really enjoyed myself." While the winters of Chicago can be brutal, Nick and Lia spent those early months having date nights at Trader Joes, Blackhawks games, InnJoy dance parties, and of course science experiments in the winter vortex.&nbsp; Nick graduated that spring and thankfully stuck around&nbsp;the Chicago area (in strategically close proximity to the Metra) after a summer of long distance while Lia interned in NYC. Realizing the distance was absolutely&nbsp;not for them, they celebrated with a trip to Portugal&nbsp;where too much Port wine consumption would foreshadow the name of everyone's favorite fluffy boy, Tawney.&nbsp; Post Lia's Covid-graduation, Nick and Lia continued&nbsp;their adventure by becoming puppy parents and moving to Denver, where their love of the mountains and activity flourished. This past February, Nick popped the question in the most appropriate way - on a hike, in the snow, with their puppy (all before running into some random Hoosiers to take photos of them). We can't wait for next July and a lifetime of adventure together!&nbsp;

We recommend staying in Lower Deer Valley (on or around Deer Valley Drive) for easy access to town as well as the St. Regis hotel where the wedding will take place. Activities:

If you love the outdoors then you will love Park City.&nbsp;As with most ski resorts they say people come for the winter but stay for the summer and no place is that more true than Park City, Utah. There are so many activities; the biggest and most accessible is hiking so please pack some hiking boots or trail runners in your suitcase.&nbsp;On Saturday morning we will have group hikes at a variety of levels that’s will leave from the bottom of the funicular (St, Regis) at 9:30am.&nbsp;Local friends of the Sagerman’s will be leading the hikes.&nbsp; A good place to find activities is&nbsp;<a href="https://www.visitparkcity.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.visitparkcity.com/</a> For the more adventurous you can go to the Olympic Park and take the bobsled run, do the adventure ropes course and then zip line to the 65 foot drop box.&nbsp;<a href="https://utaholympiclegacy.org/location/utah-olympic-park/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://utaholympiclegacy.org/location/utah-olympic-park/</a> You can rent&nbsp;bikes&nbsp;at the following places and ride on the rail trail. Or rafting on the Provo or Weber rivers.&nbsp;You can also go fly fishing.&nbsp;There is also standup paddle boarding at the Deer Valley Grocery store, which is walking distance from most lodging.&nbsp; One of our most favorite things is to take the Chairlift from SnowPark, about 50 yards from the St Regis entrance, to Silver Lake and have a lunch at the Royal Street Cafe.
