Lindsay: "Nick and I were friends all throughout middle and high school. He was a total nerd, and I was always looking to one-up him when it came to calculus tests. Our story really began when Nick asked me to prom. He was (and still is) such a sweet and genuine guy that I couldn't resist agreeing to date... JUST for the summer. We had both already committed to attending different colleges in the fall!"

Nick: "Clearly, Lindsay's 'JUST for the summer' plan didn't quite go as expected. When the time came for her to head to Manhattan and me to Lincoln, we couldn't help but visit each other... just about every other weekend. Four years of long distance brought its share of challenges, but it made us appreciate our time together even more. From sorority and fraternity date parties, to tailgates and football games, to movie nights at the Kabin, we created some of our favorite memories together with our favorite people."

Lindsay: "On March 4, 2022, with the help of family and friends, Nick completely surprised me when he proposed near KC's River Market overlooking the Missouri River. Following the proposal, I quickly learned that he had arranged a surprise engagement party with all of our closest family and friends, which was so incredibly special."

Nick: "We lived in our first apartment in the Crossroads District in downtown Kansas City for two years. In that time, we'd both started our full-time careers, traveled to Europe and back (twice!), explored *almost* every brewery in the KC metro, and perhaps most notably, adopted our orange kitten, Otis!"

Lindsay: "In June of 2023 we started our home search, and by August, we were moved into our little Cape Cod in Roeland Park. Now that we had a home, a cat, and an engagement ring, we knew what we needed to plan next ;)"
