Our Wedding

Our journey together began at Queen’s University, though Nicky insists it started in first year, and Thomas swears we met in second year. We both agree, however, that it was in our second year, during an American Civil War History class, when we really became friends. Nicky’s friend group took it upon themselves to force shy Thomas into their circle. After many hours in the library, taking almost every History class together, pitchers of QP sangria, and countless hangouts, our friendship blossomed into something lasting. Even after graduating undergrad, we both stayed in Kingston to pursue additional degrees, making more memories in between late-night study sessions and impromptu get-togethers. When Nicky moved to England to teach, we stayed in touch, but it wasn’t until her return that we realized what had always been there—our connection was more than just friendship. We started dating soon after, and before we knew it, we were back in Kingston, where Thomas was working through his law degree. We met many incredible friends (shoutout LCVI crew), survived a pandemic together, and created memories we’ll always treasure. Near the end of our time in Kingston, Thomas popped the question, and here we are, excited to begin this next chapter. Since then, we’ve relocated back to the GTA for Thomas to start his career as a lawyer in the family practice, settled into our new place, and are ready to take on this next adventure as a married couple! We’re so grateful for the love and support of our incredible family and friends who’ve been there through it all. You’ve made our journey together even more special, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
