The day Nick Platke set his eyes on Tessa Norman, he knew he was going to marry her. At the time, the two were just coworkers, overworked and underpaid baristas at their local Starbucks. Most of their time together was spent in syrup stained t-shirts and coffee covered sneakers, but despite being in the midst of that mess, love brewed.

As Nick drew closer to Christ, Tessa couldn’t help but take notice. Time passed and while everyone around them had begun to wonder whether or not they would ever end up together, Nick held fast to his original notion. He was not the same as he once was and neither was she. The Lord was going to bring his work to completion.

So, after everyone had finally stopped asking if Nick and Tessa were together, they started dating. Christmas Eve, 2022, their futures were changed. All their friends and family collectively celebrated that they no longer had to tell people, “No, they’re just good friends.” The following year, Nick got down on one knee and asked Tessa to spend her future with him, and of course, she happily said yes.

From coworkers to couple, they are so thankful for the work God did in their lives over the last few years, separately and corporately. They are now in the process of planning their dream wedding and could not be happier to share this season of life with the people they love.
