We first met in high school through “Sueño Latino,” our Spanish Club. Back then, we were just acquaintances, crossing paths during meetings and hanging out with mutual friends. There was always a little spark between us, but nothing ever came of it. Even after high school, when we worked together at Pluckers, we stayed in that same space: familiar, but not close.

Life moved on, and so did we—each doing our own thing. Then, in 2020, during the chaos of the pandemic, we reconnected. One simple social media notification led to a conversation that snowballed into hours of catching up. We bonded over our shared goal of becoming nurses and started opening up about life, dreams, and everything in between.

That’s when things started to shift. We realized we had feelings for each other. At first, we tried to just stay friends—neither of us wanting to mess up something that already felt so natural. But it didn’t take long to see that what we had was more than friendship.

Since then, everything has just felt right. We’ve grown together, supported each other through challenges, and laughed through even the messiest moments. Being together feels like home.

Now, here we are—getting ready to celebrate our wedding with all of you. We’re so thankful for every twist and turn that brought us here, and we can’t wait to start this next chapter surrounded by the people we love.

Nos conocimos en la prepa gracias a “Sueño Latino”, el club de español. En ese entonces, solo éramos conocidos; coincidíamos en las reuniones y salíamos con los mismos amigos. Siempre hubo una chispa entre nosotros, pero nunca pasó nada. Incluso después de graduarnos, cuando trabajamos juntos en Pluckers, seguimos igual: cercanos, pero no tanto.

La vida siguió y cada quien tomó su rumbo. Pero en 2020, en plena pandemia, volvimos a hablar. Todo empezó con una notificación en redes sociales y, sin darnos cuenta, terminamos platicando por horas. Nos unió el sueño de ser enfermeros, y poco a poco empezamos a hablar de todo: la vida, lo que queríamos, lo que habíamos vivido...

Ahí fue cuando todo empezó a cambiar. Nos dimos cuenta de que había algo más. Al principio intentamos quedarnos como amigos, porque no queríamos arruinar lo que ya teníamos. Pero pronto fue obvio que lo nuestro era más que amistad.

Desde entonces, todo ha fluido. Hemos crecido juntos, nos hemos apoyado en los momentos difíciles, y también nos hemos reído en los más locos. Estar juntos se siente como estar en casa.

Y ahora estamos aquí, a punto de celebrar nuestra boda con todos ustedes. Nos sentimos muy agradecidos por cada paso que nos trajo hasta este momento, y estamos felices de comenzar este nuevo capítulo rodeados de las personas que más queremos.
