Jay and Nicole’s journey began in March 2020 during their sophomore year at UW-Stout. Just weeks after they started talking, the pandemic struck, forcing them back to their hometowns—Nicole to Glenville, MN, and Jay to Cedarburg, WI, a distance of 316 miles. Despite the separation, they stayed connected, Face Timing and calling each other every day.
When Nicole celebrated her 21st birthday that summer, she invited Jay to Glenville, marking the moment they officially became a couple.
As their relationship blossomed, Jay and Nicole found joy in shared adventures—traveling, deer hunting, and especially ice fishing at Nicole's family cabin. They love attending country music concerts, spending time with family and friends, and cherishing fun and laughter while staying humble and kind.
Fast forward to the fall of 2023, Jay suggested they visit Glenville to help her dad with the harvest and celebrate his own birthday. Unbeknownst to Nicole, Jay was secretly planning to propose. When Nicole’s grandparents needed pears picked, Jay saw the perfect opportunity. With buckets and an apple/pear picker in hand, they set off to the orchard. While Nicole was busy searching for pears, she turned around to find Jay on one knee, ready to ask the big question. Completely surprised, she said yes! It was truly a magical moment, celebrated by both families.
Now, Jay and Nicole are excited to embark on their new life together, and they hope you’ll join them to celebrate their love at their wedding!
