We both got a text in the early fall of 2021 asking if we were interested in being set up with someone. Neither of us happened to be looking, but sure, why not?


Justin was living in Michigan for work at the time and after texting for a few weeks, drove 5 hours to Pittsburgh (10 hours roundtrip!) for the first date. The first date was supposed to be a brewery, but turned into a movie night because one of them lost their ID. You can guess which one.


Justin went for a run in Pittsburgh before trekking back to Michigan. Before getting on the road, he asked if he could stop by Nicoles apartment for just 2 minutes one more time to say goodbye.


The rest was history.
