In 2011, the couples' families were introduced by mutual friends. Nikki had spent a lot of time befriending Stanley's older sister, Indigo, as the two became pen pals and later best friends. As they grew up, Nikki and Stanley got to know each other more, becoming friends themselves. During the covid-19 pandemic, contact between the two families became difficult as both Stanley and Nikki were learning to be adults and struggling through the isolation. In 2023, after isolation had ended, the two reconnected, and by the beginning of 2024, the two were talking nearly every day. By May 13, the two became a courting couple, and by November 27, they were engaged in Disney World at Epcot. Their story has a lot of history, and they wouldn't have it any other way.
