Makyla, Marek’s sister, was the one who introduced us. Marek was coming to Lubbock to move his things back home, and Makyla casually said, “Nicole, you might like my brother.” Nicole asked what he looked like, and Makyla simply said, “He has blonde hair.” Nicole laughed and replied, “Oh, I don’t go for blondes.” But then he walked into the room. Nicole looked over at Makyla and whispered, “You didn’t say he was *cute*!” From that day on, Marek and Nicole were inseparable. Nicole cried when he left for Dripping Springs, and had to stay behind to finish college at Texas Tech. That same evening, Marek had dinner with his family and told them all about Nicole and how they were going to love her and that she had the most beautiful blue eyes. They’ve believed in love at first sight ever since. Now, four years later, they’re more in love than ever and can’t wait to spend forever together.
