Our Story

Nicole and Kevin met six years ago while working at American Engineering Testing. Kevin had a bit of a reputation at the office for keeping to himself and not going out of his way to make new friends. Nicole, on the other hand, has never met a stranger. Naturally, she decided Kevin would become one of her people anyway.

At first, Kevin wasn’t quite sure what to make of Nicole’s persistence. But over time, he realized she was simply offering genuine friendship. Slowly, the walls came down, the two spent more time together, and somewhere along the way, that friendship turned into something much bigger.

They balance each other in the best ways. Kevin’s steady, thoughtful nature keeps things grounded, while Nicole’s curiosity and enthusiasm for trying new things help bring a little adventure into the mix.

These days, their home is shared with two cats and a lizard, and their favorite moments are the simple ones: dive bar outings, Costco runs, and evenings spent falling down YouTube rabbit holes together. Those ordinary routines have become the foundation of their life together—and they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with everyone on October 9, 2026, in Rush City, Minnesota.

We recommend staying at Running Aces Hotel in Columbus, MN. This will serve as the main hotel for the wedding weekend as well as the location where our shuttle will pick up and drop guests off for transportation to and from the venue. There is no formal room block reserved, but guests can book rooms at the hotel by calling (651) 925-4450 and mention that you are with Kevin and Nicole Frei's wedding party and they should apply a discount. We encourage booking early to ensure availability and we look forward to seeing you!

Running Aces Hotel

Lorenz Bus Service will arrive at the Running Aces Hotel at 2:20 pm and will depart for the venue at 2:35 pm. The bus will arrive at the venue at approximately 3:15 pm. There are two scheduled return trips from the wedding venue back to Running Aces Hotel. Departure times from Creekside Wedding Venue are 9:15 PM or 10:45 PM. You can use either option to head back to the hotel for the evening when you have had your fill of love, food, and drinks! Please be sure to indicate whether you plan on using the shuttle or not in the RSVP so that we can make sure there are enough trips and that there is enough room for everyone!
