We started dating May 31st, 2018. This is one of our first pictures together. In August, I brought Alex with me to a family reunion in Saco ME where he got to meet many of my family members from my dad’s side. This was the first time meeting my parents, and he also got to meet my Grammie!
Throughout 2019, we took road trips through the woods of Maine, many weekend trips to MA, to a Bruins game and a Red Sox game as well as a UMaine hockey game and the Pats vs Dolphins game. The best part, was in August, Alex came with my family and me on his first ever cruise!
We all know how 2020 went…we moved in together officially and went through Covid, trips and events being cancelled, social distancing and even having to quarantine for 14 days. But we made it!
Here we took a selfie while walking at the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse, Alex took me there one afternoon after I had woken up from a nap after working 7pm-7am. He knew I needed to get out of the apartment, and my happy place was the ocean.
In 2021, things were opening back up and we were able to attend our good friends Paige (Bridesmaid) and DK’s wedding in June and then my cousin’s wedding in August! In December, we went to FL where we did Disney in one day then on the Carnival Mardi Gras with a huge group of friends!
2022 was filled with many weekend trips including camping and trips to OOB!
2023 started out with a family trip to Disney. This was Alex’s second time to Disney, after a short day trip back in 2021, but we had a full week of magic this time! We bought a house and started on all sorts of house projects to make this our home. We rounded out the year with the holidays spent with my family in MA.
The year 2024 was best remembered for all our travels! Starting with a Cruise Wedding to celebrate Nick and Amanda (Best Man and Bridesmaid). Half way through the year we traveled to Utah for Katie and Tyler’s wedding (Bridesmaid and Groomsmen)! Ended the year with holidays spent with our families, Christmas Eve with Nick and Amanda, Christmas Day with Alex’s family and then traveled home after work the next day to spend it with my family.
Which brings us to 2025! The year my best friend and I were to turn 30. So we planned a birthday party to celebrate us! Little did I know, or my best friend, that there was quite the surprise coming! Alex popped the question on January 18, 2025, and of course I said “Yes!”. The next day, wedding planning had begun! We picked our date, our venue, and are so excited to celebrate with all of you!
We took our engagement photos in July, at Robbins Hill. A beautiful, scenic overlook in Solon Maine. Highly recommend the drive to check it out!
