Is Aruba safe?

Aruba is considered a very safe island, especially for tourists and has low crime rates.

Do I need a Visa to travel to Aruba from the US?

U.S. citizens do not need a visa for tourist travel to Aruba for stays up to 30 days. You will need a valid U.S. passport and to complete the Aruba ED Card Online form.


The Aruba ED Card (Embarkation/Disembarkation Card) is a mandatory digital immigration form required for all visitors traveling to Aruba. This form must be completed online before arriving in Aruba and includes personal, travel, and health-related information. You can complete it up to 6 days before your arrival to Aruba.

Will I need to exchange money for Aruba?

Exchanging US dollars for Aruban Florin (AWG) isn't necessary, as US dollars are widely accepted, but having some local currency can be advantageous for smaller businesses, better exchange rates, and exact change.

What is the primary language spoken?

Dutch and Papiamento are the official languages of Aruba however, most Arubans speak English and Spanish due to the island's tourism industry.

Will I need to rent a car?

Renting a car isn't essential in Aruba, as taxis and public transportation are readily available, but it offers greater flexibility for exploring the island at your own pace, especially areas less accessible by public transport. Consider your budget, desired level of independence, and planned activities when deciding.

Do I have to stay at the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort?

Absolutely not! Guests are welcome find other accommodations on the beautiful island of Aruba.

How do I get to Flamingo Island?

Our ceremony and reception will be held on Aruba's famous Flamingo Island, just a short 15-minute ferry ride from the Marriott Wind Creek Renaissance Hotel. We're delighted to provide two complimentary ferry boats for our wedding guests. We can't wait to celebrate with you there!



What happens if I miss the water ferry for guests?

If you happen to miss the guest designated water ferry, you will need to take the next available water ferry with other hotel guests. Our wedding ceremony is scheduled during a busy time for the water ferries, so there may be a bit of a wait.
