During their first year at UOIT in 2013, Nicole and Alex met through mutual friends in residence. Their friendship continued to blossom through all four years of undergrad.

Nicole then moved to Toronto and Alex started his apprenticeship in Toronto at the same time. It wasn't until they were both in their second year of graduate school and apprenticeship that they started dating, and the rest is history.

Nicole and Alex have been together for over 6 years now. They made the leap to get an apartment together in late 2022 when Alex decided to pop the question!

Alex proposed to Nicole on Christmas Day (walking Remy in the park) in 2022, they bought a house in 2024, and now the wedding in 2025!
