Nicole and Melissa's relationship began back in 2013, when Melissa worked up the courage to send Nicole a message online. She wrote, "You seem super cool, why do you live so far away?" to which Nicole responded, "Thank you, I am pretty cool." Truer romantic words have never been spoken and they fell instantly in love.

They actually messaged a bit online to make sure neither was a catfish, before they began texting and calling each other non stop. After a month or so they finally met for their first date, which included a trampoline park, K1 Racing, dinner at Pizza Port, and a walk on the beach at Sunset. In true lesbian fashion, the next week they rented a U-Haul and moved in together. (Just kidding, they moved in after more than a year).

First, Katie had to meet Nicole and give her approval, which she did of course. The first time she met Nicole she asked if she would have a sleepover, then asked her if she would move in. After that the trio were together pretty much every weekend, either in Costa Mesa or Carlsbad. Once Nicole finally moved south, they grew closer as a family unit and Melissa and Nicole knew they found home in one another.

Fast forward 12 years, 2 dogs, tons of concerts, bike riding, off roading adventures, surgeries, camping, and busy teaching careers and they are ready to make it official.

They knew since date one they were meant for one another and now the time has come to celebrate!
