On a warm Friday night during Labor Day weekend in 2022, Nicole and Nick shared their first ice cream date at Cromwell Creamery—a sweet beginning to something extraordinary.

Their relationship grew after many more ice cream dates, weekend breakfasts at Heirloom Market, and an agreement that there would be no dogs in their future. After deciding Nick was a keeper, Nicole brought him to Otis for a final test. Only after Nick rode a jet ski, ran a 5k, and met the locals of Tolland Road did he pass the Otis Test.

Nicole has attended many of Nick’s hockey games and studied hard to pass Hockey 101 while maintaining her straight A’s from law school. With a mutual love of trying new restaurants and travel, they enjoy fitting fun adventures into their busy schedules. Nick cooks both healthy and gluten free food for Nicole almost every night when they are both home. When Nick is away traveling for work and hockey, Nicole hides surprise gifts in his bag.

Almost two years after their first scoops of mint chocolate chip and moose tracks, with the perfect ring, the perfect shoes, and their siblings' approval, Nick proposed to Nicole in Charleston, SC and she said yes.
