Okay, most people don't believe this, but I'm putting it in writing. Nicole and I met in Las Cruces, NM while we both worked for New Mexico State University. Nicole, working in Events & Community Engagement, had an idea for the Football team to pass out schedule cards at Lescombes (where they regularly eat dinner in the Summer). Thankfully, I was the goon in charge of attendance for these meals. This was our first encounter. Given the result, I feel it went well.

Later that Summer, The 6th Man Club had a meet and greet for the club and members of NMSU Men's Basketball program. At this event, I was donning an especially well-fitting polo. Nicole definitely noticed. (Yes, this does mean that Nicole was the one to hit on me!) After the event, we spent some time chaperoning a blind date for her close friend. We completely ignored our duties and spent the evening talking. In those conversations, I realized this was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I found my soulmate and best friend. Since then, there's been no looking back.

Nicole and I have been fortunate to share almost 5 years of memories together. We have been each other's rock and support in highs and lows, victories and defeats. We know that our love is special and work everyday to cherish it. We feel so lucky to have such a special bond and are grateful to all of you who have helped us with that!
