Our Wedding

Family and friends, Let us begin by saying what a wild ride the last few years have been. The highs... The lows... And a little bit of everything in between. Our story is something we are truly blessed to have. We would not be where we are today if it weren't for everyone who has supported us through all of the challenges, obstacles, and milestones along the way. We sincerely thank you so much and look forward to celebrating with everyone in the near future! With that being said, here's a little summary of how all of this came to be. We hope you enjoy our journey as much as we have! As eager college students looking to explore and expand our education, both Nicole and I found ourselves being transported all the way to Florence, Italy. We traveled to our destination with a group of wild college roommates and a couple of euros in our pockets. As fate would have it, our paths crossed early on in our trip with both colleges using the same travel accommodations. Nicole and a group of her friends were taking picures at the Leaning Tower of Pisa and lost track of time, completely missing their scheduled tour. Luckily, my group was scheduled for a tour shortly after, and the girls were able to join us. I'd be lying if I said it was "love at first sight." One of my roommates joked with Nicole by telling her I had a glass eye, so she spent the entire length of the tour staring at me trying to figure out which eye was the glass one. After clearing the air and laughing all afternoon, we joined the rest of the group for tandem bike rides and the rest is history. Although it might have been a rather comical start, we definitely hit it off throughout the next several months. We attended soccer matches, cooking classes, and traveled across Europe together wondering how much longer our little vacation would last. As the days flew by and our trip began to wind down, we both realized that our little fantasy world would soon be ending and the reality of everyday life would come rushing back. We sadly said our goodbyes and loaded back into the airplanes that would take us home; Nicole's being California, and mine, Pennsylvania. Over the next several years, we stayed in touch and would always check in with phone calls or the occasional visit to see each other. As much as we might have wished it was different, time and fate have a funny way of bringing people back together... and every so often things really do work out. After a trip years later, I rather impulsively made the decision to load up my car and make the trip west. Nicole flew out to PA and joined me for the road trip as we headed down the highway together... Well until about six hours later, when I ran over a cinderblock and our road trip took a rather immediate halt. After some car repairs and exploring the flyover states, we finally made it to the golden state of California. Over the next few years, I would make my way around the coast of California. I took every job I could get, including wineries, horse stables, landscaping, cattle ranches, and construction companies. Nicole was always close by my side, supporting me in all my endeavors and crazy ideas as she continued to grow and expand her career in the radiology department at the nearby hospital. Things have settled down just a little bit lately, with the recent purchase of our first house and the addition of our partner in crime, little Maggie Maggoo. We look forward to where our journey will continue to go and are so extremely blessed to have such an amazing support system.
