Explore St. George Street - St. George street is the main downtown area and is lined with bars, restaurants, shops, and more! This street is the heart of St. Augustine and you can spend hours exploring the whole block and all it has to offer. Buy yourself a souvenir at one of the many novelty shops or buy a locally made piece of fudge from Kilwins!
Check out a Museum - St. Augustine has some unique and eclectic museums that showcase the history of the City. If you’re interested in Pirates be sure to go to the Pirate and Treasure Museum! This museum showcases one of the world's biggest collections of pirate treasure and artifacts. The St. Augustine Lighthouse is another great attraction where you can learn about the history of the Lighthouse and climb to its top to see the city from the best view. Brett and Nicole also recommend the Torture Museum (if you’re not too squeamish) where you can learn all about the different torture methods used back in the day!
Take a Ghost Tour - St. Augustine is known for its haunted lore so you should know that almost every inch of the town is covered in ghosts! There are a wide variety of ghost tours offered around town. Some tours are walking and some are by bus! Brett and Nicole have done quite a few tours and they always recommend the haunted bar crawl. This tour walks you around St. George Street and takes you into 5 haunted pubs, where you can drink and listen to spooky stories!
The St. Augustine Distillery – Located conveniently downtown, the distillery offers tours of the facility and shows you how the local spirits are made (for those 21 and older). While you're there for the tour you can taste the spirits or opt for a craft cocktail!
