Like most modern fairytales it all started when James slipped into Nicole's DMs on Instagram. We quickly connected over our shared love of cats and travel. James suggested we meet for coffee to discuss upcoming travel adventures and Nicole suggested drinks instead (obviously).

Our first date was a really special time. James showed up at Nicole's apartment with a bottle of red wine, ready to wow her with his witty puns. We quickly realized that we had so much in common and the laughs kept rolling.

Each date after was more fun than the last as we got to know each other. A few of our favourite dates included: Nordik spa, boardgames date night at The Loft, and going to see the Christmas lights on the houses in Rockliff Park. What we didn't see coming was a few months into our new relationship a global pandemic hit. Luckily we got to spend a week in Florida in the most magical place in the world (Disneyland) vacationing before the borders closed. This trip was where we said "I love you" for the first time.

During coronavirus lockdowns we lived with each other and worked from home with our 2 cats, Bandit and Atticus. We had a lot of time to get to know one another on a deeper level and loved to spend time together. During this time we bought a home and moved into it in October 2020. In 2021 we travelled to Miami for a vacation and when we came back we bought our first puppy, Cheddar. Not long after we started planning a trip to British Columbia and this is where James proposed in May of 2022. Three weeks later we found out we were expecting our first child, a baby boy. On February 23rd, 2023 we welcomed Teddy Morrison into the world weighing 7 pounds.

This is just the beginning of our love story and our hearts are already so full. We look forward to celebrating our marriage at Le Belvedere in June 2024 surrounded by family and friends and having a heck of a lot of fun doing it.
