What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to both the ceremony and reception venues. Chicago traffic can be quite unpredictable and both locations sit in the heart of two popular neighborhoods.
Can you clarify the dress code?
Semi-Formal attire indicates a step down in formality from Black Tie. The wedding party will be dressed in formal attire and guests have the option to do the same. Men are encouraged to wear a suit and tie or tuxedo, while women have the option between a cocktail dress or polished set.
Can I take pictures?
We are having an "unplugged ceremony" and kindly ask you to put away your phones during the ceremony and refrain from taking any photos. We've hired a professional photographer to capture these special moments for us and phones/devices can be a disruption and often times block their shots. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos as you want! We promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them.
Can I bring a date?
If your invitation states “and guest,” or specifically addresses your guest, then yes. Thanks for understanding!
Are children invited?
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
Will parking be available at St. Clement?
Limited parking will be available at no cost in the church lot at the corner of Deming and Orchard (across from the main entrance of the church) and in the school lot on Orchard (across from the west side of the church). Please be aware that all cars will need to be moved following the ceremony. If the lot is full, please check the 2515 N Clark St parking garage or Spot Hero.
I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Yes, please note any allergies on your RSVP.
Will the wedding day events take place inside or outside?
We will be indoors for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
Chicago can be a bit unpredictable but August typically sees a high of 80 and a low of 70.
Will there be a Covid protocol?
At this time, we will not have any Covid restrictions in place as Chicago has lifted mask and vaccine mandates back in February. Please keep in mind that the health & safety of our guests is at the utmost importance so we kindly ask that anyone feeling sick stays home. Please alert us ASAP if you are no longer able to attend.
