On a rainy and dreary Friday the 13th in November of 2015, Nicole and her roommate (Chelsea) went to NYC for the weekend to visit her brother Marc and her friend Crystal. Nicole and Chelsea met up with Crystal for what they thought would be a quick drink at a speakeasy above Five Guys in the West Village. As they were about to cash out and head to another bar, they ran into Mike, who was just arriving with his friend, Viswa. Mike started chatting with Nicole’s roommate, which he later claimed was an attempt to make Nicole jealous (he ostensibly read somewhere that this was a good strategy). Well, Nicole did get a little jealous - “who’s this hunky Italian hitting on my roommate?? Chelsea has a boyfriend. He should be talking to me!” Just a couple of minutes later, Mike transitioned his attention to Nicole and offered to buy her a drink. They talked about politics, finance, the cosmos and the meaning of life, and a million other topics, and all of a sudden 4 hours went by and the bar was closing. As they parted ways, Mike asked for Nicole’s number, which she gave to him while thinking, “What’s the point? He lives in NYC and I’m in Boston in grad school, I’m not trying to get into a long distance relationship.” In typical Mike fashion, he pursued and charmed her with his humor, smile, intellect and genuine kindness. Daily texts turned into lengthy late night phone calls, and suddenly they couldn’t go more than 15 minutes without speaking to each other. Six weeks after they first met, Mike took his first of many bus trips from NYC to Boston to see Nicole  — see above, the first pic they took together. He loved Boston (and Nicole) so much that he moved to Boston to be with her after she graduated NP school, and they’ve been living happily ever after—with their son, Humphrey—ever since.

Each room is a King Studio Suite, which fits up to 4 people with a King Bed and a Queen Sofa Pullout Bed. Rooms all have a full kitchen including dishwasher, 2 stove top burner, refrigerator, microwave and cooking equipment and dinner service for 4, plus hair dryer, iron, ironing board, complimentary wireless internet and 32” flat screen television with Showtime.Reservations must be received on or before June 4, 2021 - After this date, the hotel will release the unreserved rooms to the public for general sale.**Two-night minimum for room block, but individual nights may be booked through the hotel directly. FOR GUESTS FLYING IN: It’s probably easiest&nbsp;to fly directly into Boston Logan Airport, because depending on where you are coming from,&nbsp;there&nbsp;may not be any&nbsp;direct flights into the airport in&nbsp;Manchester, NH.&nbsp;Boston Logan Airport is 1.5 hour drive to Meredith NH, and the&nbsp;Manchester Airport is about a&nbsp;1 hour drive&nbsp;to Meredith. Car rentals are available at both airports.WELCOME RECEPTION: After the rehearsal dinner, we will be hosting a welcome reception on Friday, July 16th&nbsp;for all out of town guests, from 7-11pm. Please join us for snacks and drinks as you enjoy&nbsp;scenic views of NH's Lake Region. The welcome reception will be on the grass patio at the&nbsp;Chase House at Mill Falls - 300 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith NH 03253.&nbsp;PARKING: There is plenty of parking at Mill Falls/Church Landing for both the welcome reception and wedding ceremony/reception. For the wedding on&nbsp;Saturday, July 17th, we will be offering shuttle transportation from Towneplace Inn and&nbsp; Suites Marriott Laconia-Gilford to Church Landing, and back, for all guests staying there. The shuttle will depart at approximately 4:15pm to bring people to the ceremony at Church Landing. There will be at least one shuttle (depending on number of guests using this service) around 11pm to bring guests back to the Marriott after the reception.

Getting to and around Meredith, NH

For those looking to stay at our venue, we have reserved rooms at the 4 different inns at the Mill Falls at the Lake estate - Bay Point, Church Landing (our wedding venue), Chase House (our rehearsal dinner venue), and Mill Falls. Each inn has their own features and special charm, but they are all on the same estate, within a 1-minute walk of each other.There is a two-night minimum during this time of year.Reservations must be received on or before May 1st, 2021 - After this date, the hotel will release the unreserved rooms to the public for general sale.
