We connected in a chance meeting construed by the internet algorithm gods, a cute but crazy dog, and the overzealous use of hashtags. We quickly started talking about running (shocker), travel, and life. At this point Nicole was living in California and Josh was living in Kentucky, but despite the distance, a deep friendship formed. We discovered that we could talk for hours and never get tired of hearing what the other had to say, even if it was a completely random train of thought.

After life took its twists and turns, which it is known to do, we both ended up taking jobs in Minneapolis, MN, moving here in 2022, and started dating. Very quickly, we knew that we were going to end up getting married. We survived the winter of 2022 with its mountains of snow and sheets of ice and came to love Minnesota. 2023 was an incredible year, with trips to Puerto Rico, California, Wisconsin, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Colorado, along with many new experiences at home together. A love for traveling is just one of the things that we share, and we have set a goal to visit all of the US National Parks. So far, we have been to Joshua Tree, Zion, Rocky Mountain and Black Canyon.

In October of 2023 we visited Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park. On a gorgeous hike up a mountain beside a small river Josh proposed! And now here we are having a wedding. We are so excited for the rest of our lives together.
