Brandon and I met on October 22, 2021, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, while I was ordering a drink at the Twisted Moose. By the time I received my drink, Brandon had already won me over. After Brandon and I graduated from UW–La Crosse, the next three years of our relationship were spent long-distance while Brandon completed his Doctorate in Chiropractic and I completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During that time, Brandon promised he would write me a letter every weekend we didn’t spend together, and I promised I would always write him back. Over those three years, Brandon only ever missed one letter. In 2024, Brandon and I moved in together. On June 6, 2025, Brandon gave me the missed letter from long ago. When I opened it, the message began with the best question I’ve ever been asked: “Will you marry me?” I said yes. Today, I have 59 letters from Brandon, and I can officially say he has never missed a letter. It means so much to have you in our lives, and we cannot wait to celebrate our wedding with you on August 29, 2026.
