Dakota and I had our first date at Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha in September 2019. We didn't take any pictures that day but this was a few months after, at Brenton Skating Plaza in Des Moines. One of our first photos together!

Oh Covid. Nobody could have guessed what this year would bring. I ended up getting furloughed at my job but Dakota kept working throughout the pandemic. This allowed us to spend more time with each other and our families which was the silver lining during a year where there was a lot of uncertainty.

Dakota and I's first plane trip together took us on an extended weekend vacation to Hot Springs, SD to visit my grandparents. We loved spending time with family as well as exploring local landmarks. We hope to travel a lot more in the future!

We ventured out to Iowa City to see an Iowa Football game with friends! I will always root for an Iowa team...as long as they're not playing Iowa State :)

Dakota and I went on a backpacking trip with a bunch of Dakotas friends in Arkansas. We walked around 20 miles over 3 days while camping in tents each night. Dakota and I hadn't done anything like this before so it was definitely a challenge but it was a lot of fun! Looking forward to more outdoor adventures!

A day to remember! We drove out to Hot Springs, South Dakota to spend time with my family during Thanksgiving. Little did I know Dakota had something planned as well. We decided to go for a walk one morning on a nearby trail, close to my grandparents house. It was 20 degrees outside so it was safe to say nobody else was on the trail. It's such a beautiful trail to walk though, so we braved the cold. We walked for about 10 minutes and a little before the turning point where we would start heading back to our car, I started walking slightly ahead of Dakota and when I turned around he was on a knee and asked me to marry him! I was not expecting it to happen at all that weekend but it was the perfect moment. So excited for our future together! Love you Dakota!
