You are invited to the Sitter-Smith Wedding!! Bring a savory dish and write down the recipe to share with the bride and groom. Or for my out-of-towners, a bottle of wine and a recipe! Let's celebrate Nicole and Cialeo!
Nicole's POV: How me and Cialeo met is truly a life long mystery with some all too uncanny coincidence. We had crossed paths multiple times the three years prior to our meeting. It truly took an act of god for this story to transfold. The true date of our conscious and aware meeting was July 4th, 2024 in the parking lot of my apartment complex at the time. My friends and I were having a BBQ and I had finished getting the ball rolling to move to Sheridan and go back to school in the fall. Cialeo was positively hammered, drinking a rocket pop twisted tea. He formally introduced himself by helping light a fire. Following this up with letting us know that he has accidentally lit himself on fire three times prior. He of course had documented proof of that. Later on that evening he decided he needed to be grill master because his friend was too distracted and Cialeo was worried that the food was going to burn. There was very limited seating at this bonfire so someone ended up sitting next to me. This all led to him sitting on my lap. He then tried to get me to try his rocket pop Twea because of how gross it was. When I declined he ended up kicking it over. Our second meeting was him inviting me to come hangout in his friend Ian's shop. Cialeo called me and gave me verbal directions to start walking down a dark alli in the pouring rain so I could watch him cut up aluminum pipes. During this interaction he asked me if I would drive 2.5 hours to his parents house so that I could watch him take the transmission out of the Willys. A week and a half later he invited me to centerfest and forgot to mention I would be meeting his entire extended family, most of the high school friends, and a good handful of the family friends. I wouldn’t change this month for the world. The hecticness and chaos of our relationship is what makes us happy, and there's no one else I would rather stumble through life with.
Cialeo POV: Looking back at the first time I truly met Nicole, the day began without any sign that my life would change forever that evening. I spent the majority of the day floating the Madison river with my friends, then went back to my old apartment complex to celebrate the 4th of July. There were several communal BBQ’s and fire pits in that complex, and we decided to grill burgers and dogs, and enjoy the rest of the evening with fireworks. Once we got to the BBQ, there was another group of people there, doing some grilling and starting a fire. Our two groups had no problem sharing the space, and we naturally began talking. Nicole was one of the people in that second group, and we spent the rest of the evening talking and enjoying the fire. Fast forward a couple of days, and Nicole and I began to spend more time together, often watching movies in the evenings after I’d get off work. At that time, I was working on several different projects, and I enjoyed getting to show Nicole everything that I’d been working on. This did include inviting her to Lewistown, where we did some extensive work to my only vehicle at the time, a ‘55 Willys Wagon. When she had no reservations about helping me with such a messy and oily job, I knew that she was someone that wouldn’t mind any of the weird projects that I often found myself involved in. There’s no one I would rather go through life with.
