Josh and Nicole bonded over their love for Horror. Josh, at the time, intrigued by ghosts and hauntings was not much of a ghost hunter, but definitely had an interest in what could be beyond death. The first date was at Pontiac Lake and a rainbow formed over Josh and Nicole. That is when Nicole knew he would be the one. Not too long after making things “Official”, Nicole took Josh and Josh’s friend Cody to the real Conjuring House. From there, a few months later they were on their way to Proctor, VT to visit Wilson Castle. Nicole could really be herself with Josh and he accepts her for who she is. Josh and Nicole’s relationship really was built on love, trust, and acceptance. Through those 3 main values, their love and relationship continues to grow and is becoming unbreakable!

* There are no “block room rates” at any hotels in or around Salem MA *

Due to the nature of Salem in and around the month of October, local hotels (both in town and in surrounding towns) have decided to not do any block room/discounted rates. New as of this year (2026 season) these hotels also have decided that they are now charging maximum rates from September through October. With this being said, we are unable to get anyone discounted rooms. This news makes all of us super upset as we wish that wasn’t the case.   ** Because of this, we highly suggest looking for your stay or planning your trip ASAP. Hotels, Airbnb, and Vrbo sellout and book up quickly (months in advance) during this peak season time. **  Listed below are some options to better help your search for places to book your stay.

** All guests, wedding party, and immediate family are responsible for their own accommodations due to the strict booking requirements. Please plan accordingly and bring extra cash (and quarters for parking meters) since it is October in Salem they have limited parking and most of it needs to be paid to park. We are truly sorry that there are no block room rates and for any inconvenience this may have caused! **

We suggest looking at neighboring towns that are within a 30 min drive. The farther the hotel the better the pricing rate.

Travel/ Book Your Stay

This is one of our favorite cafe spots to get food and drinks. Gulu-Gulu offers breakfast, sandwiches, dinner meals, coffee, tea, local crafted beer, mixed cocktails, and more! Amazing sweet treats and savory soups! The style on the inside is modern with an art twist! 10/10 recommend!

This is a fan favorite from one of the groomsmen, Chris. Both of us, Chris, and Bridesmaid Shannon shared some fun memories in this Irish pub during one of our trips to Salem around St. Patrick’s day! Amazing traditional American pub food and staple beers! Such a fun bar to go to for drinks and live music! They are open until 1am! 

O'Neills Pub And Restaurant

A must see clothing/ coffee shop/ haunted attraction. This store originated as a gothic clothing store online. Once they grew their business online, they bought a federal bank building and renovated it to provide tourist with an in person shopping experience. From clothes to haunted attraction; BLACKCRAFT offers a scary attraction that can either be walked during the day without actors to accommodate individuals with heart conditions and other medical difficulties, or a fully functional experience with actors, props, strobe lights and animatronics! After adding on more for tourist… they added more! There is now a BLACKCRAFT Coffee Bar in the retail shop! A one stop shop while you are in Salem!

Blackcraft Salem

Vampire/Witch inspired shop in the middle of downtown historic Salem located across the street from Gulu-Gulu Cafe and not far from BLACKCRAFT. Offering unique candles, fragrances, and jewelry with sage, notebooks, hats, their own clothing, and the only store to feature Killstar clothing and shoes in an in-person retail environment. The workers are always super friendly and Sebastian is an amazing salesman!

Vampfangs

This is one of our favorite shops in Salem! They offer anything from dried herbs/ flowers, to taxidermy, to Viking weapons. Very unique with a natural and herbal vibe. They also request no photos or use of phones so that every guest has an engaging and personal experience. 

The Covens Cottage

If you are a true fan of horror or movies, this is a wax museum you cannot miss. From the original Dracula to modern day Michael Myers, this museum showcases some of the best in horror and film!

The Nightmare Gallery

If you are in Salem, this is an experience of a lifetime! Learn the history of the original ouija board and what the board has become now!

Salem Witch Board Museum

If you are a history buff, this is a must see! The memorial is free to access. You can visit all the stones of the witches that died during the witch hysteria. Attached to the memorial park, there is a cemetery with other knows figures apart of the witch trials. To get a guided tour with a history guide, tickets can be purchased on their website.
