Back in the summer of 2019 in Chadron, NE, where everyone knows everyone, this guy Steven had just moved to town. I (Nicole) went to college in Chadron, but hadn't quite figured out what post college meant for me.

On a quest for a “cold, cold” beer, Steven waltzed into The Ridge one night.

I bet you can’t guess who served him that beer?

Later that week we matched on one of those cheesy dating apps. On our first date he took me to Walmart (lol), he really did! But, it was because he wanted to cook me dinner, instead of going out to eat in Chadron, he grilled steaks and it was perfect! I guess the rest is history!

Our love story kicked off right in the midst of football season. Little did I know that meant months of football chaos, including lots of late nights, and a few hand-delivered meals for 5 minutes of seeing each other.

Fast forward, we've crisscrossed the map - from North Dakota's snow to Florida's sun and now, Texas.

Through all the cross-country adventures,

Steven managed the “impossible”, a proposal.

It was perfect; our favorite spot by the river and our favorite four legged friend as the witness!
