As all solid romances start, Carter and I had been friends on Facebook for years. I had posted a story on my work anniversary of a picture of two bottles of wine and the caption: "Happy 5th anniversary to me!". He admitted to always creeping my stories, and in an attempt to be witty, sent me a message asking how I could celebrate an anniversary when I was single. It worked.

After weeks of messages, he eventually asked me out. We spent the first two and a half hours of our date talking, laughing, drinking wine and driving our waitress nuts because we waited so long to order food.

We haven't run out of laughs, conversation, or wine yet.

Although 2020 has been difficult for many to navigate because of the COVID 19 pandemic, it's been a positively defining year in both of our lives upon quickly realizing the cliche statement we both hate is true, "when you know, you know".

We can't wait to celebrate our big day together, with all of our loving family and friends.
