They say, "When ya know, you know." That couldn't be truer when I think about how we met. I'll never forget the day when I reluctantly went to the Waste Management Open. It was raining, freezing and in the mists of what already was a super bowl weekend bender. I walked into the Montauk at 8 in the morning for some pre party activities with some of my best girlfriends, to immediately see the most handsome man in the entire world. If time could stop, it would have. For a moment, it felt like we were the only ones in the room. I remember thinking there's something special about this man standing before me almost like the universe brought us together for this exact moment. When I think about it now, it's even hard to explain. The only word that comes to mind is fate. After a 10 second stare and double take later I found myself being dragged away from what felt like a magnetic pull, by my girlfriends parading around shots of Jameson. We claimed our territory at the bar (I know, so classy) to drink, laugh and enjoy our "girlfriend" time when I saw him . That beautiful blue eyed, scruffy faced man walked up to me and all 8 of my girlfriends and said, "Hi I'm Tyler, I had to say hi to you..." Without hesitation I turned to my friends and said, "Oh my God, it's the hot guy! Yay!" After a few minutes of small talk and an insulting, "what year student are you?" We exchanged numbers. He's lucky he got my number before I saw that he was wearing a Seattle Seahawks hat. After an amazing first date filled with endless conversation, a Suns basketball game, mac and cheese and a rap battle, my heart was his.

January Thirty First, 2015.

If you know me, you know I've been throwing proposal grenades at Tyler for months. Like I said previously, "when ya know, ya know." My parents invited to us to go to a wedding with them last October in Temecula, California and of course Tyler and I couldn't pass up wine tasting, dancing and hellooo, open bar. Iv'e always thought Tyler was a bad secret keeper because when he's up to something you can't wipe the smile off his face. Well, after the surprise of the century, getting Holiday, that went out the window! I was shocked! Now, I have no clue what he could have up his sleeve. We were stuck in a car for 5 hours with my parents and Tyler sat in the front seat happy as a clam. He was checking emails and talking to my parents like an ordinary day. Little did I know, it would be the best day of my life and anything but ordinary. Once we got to the first winery for a tasting, the proposal grenades started flying. This has always been an inside joke between my family so they played it cool and went with it just like they always do. Everyone was in on the proposal, except for me, duh. My mom even joked, "what is taking you so long Tyler!?" On our way to our hotel we took a detour through the vines and snacked on the wild grapes. To my surprise, that would be the spot where the love of my life would ask me to marry him and hour later. Once we freshened up, my parents told us they needed more time to get ready so Tyler suggested we go exploring. We headed back to vines in search of even bigger grape clusters! I don't know how I missed a very important detail, a large buldge in the shape of a box in Tyler's back pocket. Sneaky sneaky. We were taking pictures of eachother eating the grapes when I look over and Tyler is on one knee. All I remember is him saying, "I knew the first time I met you I was going to spend the rest of my life with you."

Please note that you cannot fly into Temecula directly. The drive from Arizona or Las Vegas is about 4.5 hours. For people coming from other states, the best way to get to Temecula is to fly into Palm Springs or San Diego directly. You will have to reserve a rental car because Temecula is approximately 45 min from either destination. I promise the trip will be worth it :)

For people who want the full winery experience, Ponte is a GORGEOUS option. This hotel is minutes away from the wedding venue as well as provides all the vineyard feels for a Temecula getaway! This option is more expensive than the other 2 accommodations. Also, Ponte Winery and Hotel does not provide room block so I would suggest booking sooner rather than later.
