Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is parking on a quarter of land just down the road from the Speed Family farm. There will be a shuttle to drive you too and from the parking quarter.

Where can I stay?

There is camping available down the road at a family quarter. Gull Lake campgrounds (Brewers, Lakeview, Sandy Point, Sunset Legion) are about a 15-20 minute drive. There are hotels in Rimbey (about 15 minute drive).

What can I do in between the ceremony and reception

There will be yard games set up to play. Rimbey and Bentley are 15 minute drives away (opposite directions) with some cute local shopping! Gull Lake is a 20 minute drive for a walk along the beach. Summerside RV park is 20 minutes away with mini golf.

Is there a dress code?

We would love to see our family and friends dress up with us! We are requesting formal attire for the evening. No jeans, or t-shirts please! Ladies please refrain from wearing white or shades of white.

How will the seating work?

During the ceremony, guests can sit whichever side of the aisle they would like! On entry of the reception there will be a seating chart showing where we have sat our guests.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones are on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer to capture our day and would hate for their shots to have phones in them! After the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos as you'd like!

What happens if I don't RSVP in time?

If we do not get an RSVP by May 26, it will be marked as a "no". We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide total guest counts to the caterers in a timely matter and cannot accept late RSVP's due to this. We hope that you understand.

Can I bring a guest

If your guest name is listed on your invite or you have a plus one option listed when you RSVP, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as intimate as possible with close friends and family.

Can I bring children?

As we finalize our guest list, we wanted to let you know that we have decided to have young adults and adults only at our wedding. We hope you can understand that we would like to create a sophisticated and intimate atmosphere for all of our guests. We realize this may impact your plans, and we want to make sure you have plenty of time to arrange for childcare. We hope that you will still be able to join us on this special day, and we look forward to celebrating with you. Thank you for understanding, and please let us know if you have any concerns.

When should we arrive at the event?

We ask that all guests arrive at least 45 minutes before the ceremony time which is 1:00 pm. This ensures that guests will have some time to mingle and get seated, and allow for the shuttle drivers to make trips. This time of year is packed with summer break guests, so please make note if you are driving to leave a little earlier for unexpected traffic.

What’s the Bar situation?

We are having a toonie bar! There is no cash or ATM on site so please plan accordingly!
