Q + A

What is the dress code?

The dress code is formal, please be mindful of dressing modestly for the ceremony, as it is in a Catholic church. Ladies, need shoes? I'm a Bridal Ambassador for Pashion Footwear (which are heels that convert to flats) and you can use the code NIKITA at pashionfootwear.com for 25% off your purchase!

What is the theme?

Spring floral/wildflowers

Can I bring a plus 1?

We would love to invite everyone, however, we have a limited space and budget. We ask that you please adhere to the people listed on the invitation. If anything changes, please let us know.

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

If they are listed on the invitation, you are more than welcome to bring them. However, if you would like to and are able to have an evening away to enjoy yourselves, that is welcomed too!

Can I wear white?

Although the theme is spring florals, we request that you refrain from wearing white (white dress shirts are okay).

Is the ceremony open to anyone?

Yes! We would love to have everyone who would like to attend the nuptial mass, regardless of if you are Catholic or not. However, the reception is invitation only.

What should I expect at a Catholic mass?

There will be readings, the exchange of vows, the exchange of rings, nuptial blessing, prayers, music, and Holy Communion. The Catholic liturgy is very rich in tradition and symbolism.

What is Communion? I'm not Catholic/not a practicing Catholic, what should I do?

Great question! As Catholics, we believe that the bread and wine we receive at Communion is truly transformed into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ and that He is truly present in the Eucharist. As Catholics, when we take the Eucharist, we say "Amen," which means "I believe" or "so it is," to mean that we stake our lives on Jesus being truly present in the bread and wine. Because of this, for anyone who does not believe that it would be inauthentic for them to receive Communion. It also means that any Catholic not in a state of grace (having thoroughly examined their conscience and have not committed any mortal sins that would separate them from God) should not receive the Eucharist. Any non-Catholic, non-practicing Catholic, or Catholics not in a state of grace are welcome to come up with their arms crossed over their shoulders and receive a blessing or remain seated during Communion.

Do you guys have a wedding hashtag?

Yes! It is #FeliztobeaFeliciano for anyone who would like to post pictures to social media because we would love to see all the photos everyone takes.
