On a random day in 2014, Jake Darlington came up to Nikki and had two questions: 1) Did she know that her tire was flat, like REALLY flat, and 2) How did she feel about being set up on a blind date? Nikki was so flustered about the thought of having to change a tire in the parking lot that she answered, yeah, sure, sign me up!

Scott and Nikki met for the first time up at Mount Timothy, which in hindsight, was a pretty stupid idea....People get murdered in the mountains, Nikki!! Thankfully, Scott turned out to not be a murderer, but the ski date was a DISASTER. There was freezing rain all the way up the chair lift, and at the top, Nikki got her ski poles stuck in the chair and LEFT THEM ON THE CHAIR LIFT. Nikki had to verrrry slowly descend the mountain in a ski of shame to retrieve her ski poles, only falling once or seven times.

Thankfully, Scott turned out to not, in fact, be a murderer. Scott and Nikki have been together for almost 9 years. They adopted Rylee the Australian Shepherd, then bought a house together. In 2019, they welcomed Abigail Marie Blodgett into the world. In 2020, they got engaged, and in 2022, Bo Owen Blodgett completed the family. Now that they have done everything completely backwards, finally it is time to tie the knot!
