Graeham and Nikki met in La Crosse as shoe salesmen at Tradehome Shoes. While working there, Nikki's pretty certain she was the one who taught Graeham how to adjust the straps on Chacos, but he'll claim he already knew. We enjoy traveling together; our favorite kind of vacation is when we load up the Subaru and drive out West and tent camp for weeks (we've been to 7 national parks so far!) We spend as much time as we can outdoors, camping, paddling, and spoiling our cat, Jorah, and our two new kittens, Pico and Sperry. 6 years after we started dating, Nikki got herself into a pretty bad ski accident. After spending a week in the hospital with her best buddy Graeham by her side, we made the decision to get married ASAP. We got our hands on some silicone rings from Amazon and put this plan into action. The wedding took place at our apartment in Holmen on February 10th, 2024 with our friend Darin as the officiate, 3 in-person and 2 facetime guests; it lasted maybe 5 minutes, quickest wedding ever! We knew we still wanted to celebrate the way we really wanted to with our friends and family, and two less broken wrists. So, we look forward to seeing everyone and sharing our love at "The Conklins- I Do, Part II" for a vow renewal and reception to celebrate our 1-year anniversary.
