We are so happy to invite you to our favorite city for our wedding! Chattanooga has meant so much to us over the course of our relationship because of the beautiful nature and incredible climbing! We made the drive down to Chatt more times that we can count while we lived in Nashville and have even been back since moving all the way to Boston. There is so much to do and so much fun to be had in this gem of a city. We can't wait for you to experience this amazing city, so PLEASE, use this wedding as a vacation excuse, you won't be disappointed!
Right in downtown Chattanooga, this is one of the best aquariums in the country! They have two sections, ocean and river, so make sure you give yourself time to do both. This is great to bring the kids to as you get the chance to pet stingrays, horseshoe crabs, and sturgeon! The penguins, otters, and jellyfish are our favorite :)
Rock City sits atop beautiful Lookout Mountain with the famous "See All Seven States" vantage point. This miniature "city" is made of gorgeous paths winding through monstrous boulders, suspension bridges, glorious waterfalls, and even some weird black light nursery rhymes?? What more could you want!? This is one of our favorite tourist spots in Chattanooga!
Ruby Falls is an incredible underground series of tunnels through Lookout Mountain that ends with seeing the tallest underground waterfall in the US! This is a great adventure for everyone getting up close and personal with incredible rock formations and the history and magic of these caves! Highly recommend!
A Chattanooga Classic! Ride the incline railway up to the top of Lookout Mountain! Definitely the most fun way to get up the mountain with gorgeous views! And definitely don't skip on some Clumpie's Ice Cream at the bottom.
Not just a climbing area, I promise. Sunset rock is an absolutely gorgeous place to sit and, you guessed it, watch the sunset over the city and the river. It has a very short little walk out to a gorgeous cliff outcropping from a parking lot, OR if you prefer to hike, a lovely steep hike up to this beautiful view. And yes, you might see Brandon climbing on the rocks below you.
Ok, this one is definitely off the beaten path. If you can never have enough alpacas, we love this little coffee shop just across the border in Georgia that allows you to feed their alpacas! We hope you love them as much as we do!
Great brewery, great beer. Check out their sister location The Greenhouse as well!
More great beer at another great brewery!? Wow!
This is your place to go if you're looking for some fancy cocktails in a place with great ambiance!
This place is delicious if you are looking for more of a fancy dinner or have something to celebrate! We highly recommend celebrating here as the food is SO GOOD and a lot cheaper than anything we can get up in Boston haha.
Yummy delicious food and especially incredible pizza! Bruce and Joanne's favorite!
"Good burgers and beers" - Brandon McChristian
This is an awesome vegan restaurant with great food and awesome juice! Though... I've heard the juice has gone downhill since Isaac Talbott stopped making it :)
Have you ever wanted to eat a really good sandwich made by a cult in the birthplace of that cult? Wow, do I have good news for you. This is a deli run by a cult that started in Chattanooga and has spread worldwide. We hate pretty much all of the things they stand for and dont like cults, but have to admit they make good sandwiches. Enter if you dare. Or, just admire from a safe distance haha.
Obviously Chattanooga is known for its gorgeous and incredible nature! We hope you'll get a taste of it at our wedding, but if you are in the mood for more there are world class climbing crags, beautiful hikes, and incredible white water rafting on the Ocoee right on Chattanooga's doorstep. Feel free to reach out to us for any possible recommendations!
