It Says you’re Having an Unplugged Ceremony… What does that Mean?
An unplugged ceremony means that guests attending the wedding ceremony should not have any cell phones, cameras or any other electronic devices turned on as they could be disruptive. But at the reception, please feel free to snap away! We would love to see your photos from the reception on social media with the hashtag #HappilyEverHester24 !
“I don’t Think Having a Phone out During the Ceremony is a Big Deal, Though…”
We have hired a photographer + videographer to capture the ceremony. While we do appreciate and love that you want to have photos and videos of the ceremony, here are examples below why electronic devices are NOT allowed at the ceremony:
What is Garden Attire?
Examples of garden attire are shown below.
The Ceremony is Outside… in November… Won’t it be Cold?
Most likely, yes. But it is Georgia, it wouldn’t surprise us if it ended up being 80 degrees! But in the likelihood of it being chilly, please bring a jacket. Light throw blankets will also be available for guests to have and take home if they wish!
What’s the deal with children?
As much as we love your littles, we also want parents to be able to enjoy themselves during this special day. The ceremony will only be open to people ages eight (8) and up, as well as first dance, speeches, and parent dances at the reception with the exception of the children in the wedding party during the ceremony. Child care will be provided during these times. If your invitation includes your children, they are more than welcome to come, but please understand and respect these boundaries we have set in place on our special day.
