Our Wedding

How it all began...

Nikki, born and raised on the Chicago southside, had decided to start travel nursing at the beginning of 2021. Her first travel assignment was at Salem Health in Oregon. Daniel was born and raised in the Portland Metro Area. He had been growing cannabis for the last 5 years at a local farm that happened to be only 20 minutes from Salem. Daniel and Nikki hit it off on a very popular dating app that spring. It wasn't long after that they had their first date. That date led to many, many more. With adventures such as camping, baseball games, the Hood River Fruit Loop, and trips back to Chicago, they grew closer by the minute. And very quickly, Nikki's travel nursing job started to look more permanent. Now 2.5 years later they rent a home together, have an energetic German Shepard, and will soon become husband and wife!

Kelly's favorite memory with Nikki is... "I have such a distinct memory of us having a wine night and refusing to order pizza from anywhere other than Pizza Hut. Unbeknownst to us, Nikki's brothers had ordered from Rosangela's. Then, both of them got delivered at the same time, and Nikki had to pretend that Matt/Alex ordered the Pizza Hut and not us."

Luke's favorite memory with Dan is... "I have so many great memories with my brother it’s hard to count. From going to Seattle for Seahawks games to just spending rainy days at home playing Xbox together. We’ve shared so much over the years and I can’t wait to share in celebrating his marriage to my new sister. "

Rachel's favorite memory with Nikki is... "My favorite memory is our spring break trip to visit colleges with my mom. We went to Saint Ambrose and Illinois Wesleyan and had to choke down the God AWFUL salmon my Grandma made and you bantered with my Grandpa Bill and he called you a 'smart ass!'"

Jacob's favorite memory with Dan is... "My favorite memory with Daniel is probably the first time we went up to Canada together with all our friends. Thinking about that first trip up will always make me smile and think about all the friends and memories we made. "

Hannah's favorite memory with Nikki is... "My favorite memory is when we went to the infamous White Sox game of 2017. We had won tickets at bar bingo and got free drinks from your old swim coach and your uncle that works there. We got a tour of the unground part of the park and we barely watched the game. So many great memories from that night!"

Derek's favorite memory with Dan is... "One of my favorite memories with Daniel is our many epic meal creations. We would scrounge the kitchen for whatever scraps we could find, concept the wildest combination that just might work out, then test out our true cheffing skills. I can’t say everything was good, but you’d be surprised how many unsuspecting successes we had. "

Sara's favorite memory with Nikki is... "I think my favorite memory is when you dropped a casual $400 and bought our ENTIRE nursing class a round of Vegas bombs during the nursing bar crawl all because of some stress over the t-shirts!"

Casey's favorite memory with Dan is... "Our road trips to and from Canada. The drives were long, we had to drive through literal fire sometimes, and we all stank, but it got us our first legal pitcher of beer and probably one of the wildest times I have ever had"

Hotel Shuttle

&nbsp;There will be a shuttle taking guests that are staying at the Embassy Suites to and from the venue. Pick up times from the Embassy Suites will be at 3pm and 4pm. Trips back to the hotel will be available at 10pm, 11pm, and 12am. Each trip can accommodate 35 passengers at a time.&nbsp;

There are a ton of fun activities to do around the Portland area while visiting.
