This hotel is in Cypress, close to our house off of 290 & Mueschke. It's about a 25 mile drive to the church/reception.

Very nice hotel. Brand new - opened 3 months ago. Note- the driveway to get to it is a little curvy & hidden.

Probably the nicest thing that's the closest to the KC Hall (if you don't want the outside balcony "motel" style. Waller is between Hempstead & Cypress (where we live) & may be a good option if you don't want to drive all the way back into town. From KC Hall to this hotel is 10 miles vs driving 25 miles back to Cypress.

This is right across the road from the KC Hall. Outdoor balcony style; nothing fancy. Again- a place to crash. Mention Novak/Koppy wedding & they quoted:

Single/King: $65 + tax

This motel is about 3.5 miles from the reception going eastbound on 290. Outdoor balcony style. It's no fuss, no frills, nothing fancy - but seems to make a nice crash pad if needed. Super cheap. There are 30 rooms there. Check in 1pm or later; check out 11am.

Pricing they told us:

Single bed: $59 + tax

Double bed: $69 + tax

If there are 7-8 rooms booked with Novak/Koppy- they said they would offer $49 for single bed & $59 for double.

Another alternative to staying in a hotel are bed & breakfasts or condos. This might be a better option ...in a comfy house setting, especially if there are multiple people staying together (cost effective) or if you want a romantic get away in the country. There are a ton of B&B's in the Hempstead, Chappell Hill, & Brenham area. Just find a locale & mapquest the distance to/from the church (the church & KC Hall are about a mile from one another). I found a lot of cute ones here when I typed in Hempstead.
