Vincent & Nikki both attended Immaculate Conception grade school in Bloomfield, however there were three grades between the two of them. If you ask Nikki, she will say that they always knew who the other was because her grade school best friend's older brother was very good friends with Vincent; if you ask Vincent, he will say that Nikki always knew who HE was.

Fast forward & the year is 2014. Nikki was finishing up her first year of graduate school at The University of Pittsburgh & had moved back home with her parents for a month as she was in-between leases. One evening, her friend Ray texted her and told her he was at Lot 17 (a bar in Bloomfield around the corner from her parent's house) and that she should come meet him for a drink & so she did. Vincent also happened to be at Lot 17 with some of his friends & at some point during the evening, he & Nikki began chatting. Two hours later, numbers had been exchanged & they went their separate ways.

A week later, Vincent & Nikki saw each other again at Lot 17 where Nikki yelled at him Vincent for not texting her. This night ended with Vincent agreeing to go see a play downtown with Nikki (something he will tell you was very unlike him!). Before the "play-date" would occur, Vince asked Nikki to dinner & a movie to which Nikki said yes. This was on June 6th 2014.

Five and a half years after that first date, Vincent proposed to Nikki in the kitchen of their apartment as she was making breakfast for her college friends that were visiting; she was wearing PJ pants & a 2xl Pens t-shirt that was given out for free at a game which explains why her first words after he proposed were "I look like this?!?!?" instead of "yes." (Yes followed quickly after!)
