Some love stories are written in the stars, and ours began on a night we never expected.

In 2015, we met at a party near our hometown—a place neither of us had ever been before. Looking back, it feels like fate had brought us there. A few days later, we reconnected, went on our first date, and from that moment, something special sparked between us.

But life had other plans. Jan was preparing to leave for the USA to work as a professional dance instructor, and we told ourselves this was just a fleeting summer romance. Then, fate stepped in again—his trip was delayed, giving us more time to truly see each other, to laugh, to dream, and to fall in love. That summer became unforgettable, and our first vacation together in Croatia sealed what we already knew deep inside—this was something real.

When Jan’s work visa was finally approved, we faced the moment we had been dreading. Saying goodbye was heartbreaking, but deep down, we both knew this couldn't be the end. Just three months later, Nikoleta flew across the ocean to visit, and that trip changed everything. In those days together, we knew without a doubt—this wasn’t just love, it was forever.

So, in a quiet, intimate moment, we chose each other. We married at the city hall in Florida, promising to never let distance or life’s uncertainties keep us apart. A few months later, Nikoleta returned, and together, we started building a future side by side.

Through every challenge and every triumph, our love only grew stronger. We got our green card, Nikoleta pursued her passion and became a professional esthetician, turning her dream into a successful business.

With each step, it became clear—this was our home, this was our life, and we were exactly where we were meant to be.

Now, ten years after that magical night, we are ready to say "I do" once more—but this time, surrounded by the family and friends who have been part of our journey.
