We're in close proximity to some of the world's best wine country. This is easily done in a day.

A few hours from San Francisco, and at least an overnight stay, but definitely worth it.

Breathtaking old growth redwood trees (redwoods are close to John's heart), just north of San Francisco. This can get crowded - try to go on a weekday if possible.

It's an iconic bridge - walk across it! (Fun fact - Nina has never done this.)
