Nestled in the Guanacaste province, the town of Tamarindo is a tropical haven renowned for its stunning beaches, vibrant surf scene, diverse wildlife, and an all-encompassing Pura Vida atmosphere. Tamarindo is one of the top three travel destinations in Costa Rica, and the closest town to the wedding venue. Most Costa Ricans in Tamarindo speak English due to the volume of tourism, and many places will accept payment with US dollars as well. Otherwise, Visa is accepted just about everywhere in town.
Hotels
While there are many hotels in Tamarindo, below are two great options where we have previously stayed. We are providing a room block for both hotels. Please keep in mind that transportation to the wedding will pick up from the Dirira, however the Wyndham is a 10-15 walk and they provide shuttle service to the Diria every hour. Room rates, dates, and room block information vary for each hotel. Please let us know if you have any questions!

All rooms booked using our room block include daily breakfast and taxes. Room block reservations require a minimum stay of 3 nights. Guests can check in early, however, availability varies, and no discounted room block rate will be applied for dates outside of January 3rd to January 6th.

Hotel Information
Tamarindo DIRIA Beach Resort is located right in the heart of Tamarindo and walkable to everything, and of course right on the beach! Since the resort sits right on the main strip of town, it is surrounded by the best shopping, dining, nightlife and recreational things to do in Tamarindo. This large resort has 4 restaurants, 4 bars, a spa and a casino. All guests will have access to free daily breakfast, shuttles, free parking, WiFi, and access to all 3 pools.
Wyndham Hotel Tamarindo
Room Block Information: To reserve a room utilizing our room block, you will make a reservation by emailing reserva@wyndhamtamarindo.com or calling 4700-4748 or by WhatsApp at +506 89643229 using the name Wedding Wood Stephanides. The rate offered per room per night for 1 or 2 people is $229 + 13% tax with breakfast included. Each additional guest per room will increase the nightly rate by $30 + taxes per night. Guests may stay prior to 1/03/2025 and beyond 1/5/2025 without the discounted room block rate.
Hotel Information: Lovely hotel with infinity pool, restaurant and ocean views from all the rooms. The hotel sits higher up in town, and it is about a 20 minute walk downhill to get to the center of town / the beach. The Wyndham offers a free shuttle service that runs every 60 minutes to and from town, which runs from 9:00–19:00 daily. All Wyndham guests get free access to Langosta Beach Club, which features direct beach access, private pools, a restaurant, and a gym. All guests may attend their free breakfast served at the restaurant (7:30 am to 10:00 am), have access to WiFi, and free parking.
