Bailey has been Julia’s bestie since kindergarten! The bride is immensely grateful for their friendship. They’ve gone from tuna sandwiches, secret languages, and Disney dance competitions to a whole freaking wedding (and the same secret language).

Another Independence girlie, Anna has known the bride since way back. Anna is our resident friendship historian; she can tell you who did what when where. Anna one of the most welcoming people Julia is blessed to know; she is so grateful to have her by her side for this day!

Izzy completes our Independence girlie trifecta! Count on Anna to give you the full account, but Izzy and Julia clicked in high school. The two often share The Office-style glances when Anna and Bailey are being wackos. There was also that one time Izzy and Julia were in a movie together, which Anna and Bailey are STILL convinced isn't real. SMH. The bride can't wait to have Izzy by her side on her wedding day!

Angelina is the pea in Julia's pod. Or something like that. They met at USM's Catholic Student Association one fateful night. Julia found Angelina's lucious long hair intimidating. Somehow, they overcame their mutual awkwardness, and some immense shenaniganery insued. Julia could not imagine her day without Angelina!

The bride met Jennifer at USM's Catholic Student Association, where they bonded over a tendency to be goofy and dramatic. Key memories include accidentally getting on the interstate (with Angelina) and being St. Elizabeth and Mother Mary that one time. Julia is grateful for Jen's bubbly attitude and her ability to make any problem feel tackle-able. Julia can't wait to share this new joy with her friend!

Sophia and Julia met at USM's Catholic Student Association. Julia was frankly enamoured by Sophia's hilarious antics, but equally charmed by her positivity and constant striving for holiness. Sophia was the first friend of Julia's to learn of Noah's existence, so Julia is so happy she will be with her for their wedding day!

The Groom's Side

Noah met Cody on the very first day of high school, and they've been best friends ever since. Their adventures are full of fond memories, including a 20-hour round-trip drive on a whim to catch a friend’s theater production, and the infamous basketball game where someone’s ankle was broken (if you don’t know the story, Noah is all too happy to tell it).

What started as a bit of an awkward encounter—meeting Denim and his then-fiancée, now wife Mia, while attempting a doomed date with their roommate—turned into an unexpected friendship. They grew close through the now sacred late-night fishing trips spent digging six-foot holes (because why not) or doing some surprisingly sentimental stargazing. Noah was honored to be part of Denim’s wedding the following year, and he couldn’t be more excited to have Denim in his own. 

Denim Reeves

Tristan is Noah’s brother, and they’ve shared everything, from a room (for almost a decade) to childhood adventures in the imaginative world of “N & T.” Whether it was pulling an all-nighter watching Matilda on repeat or navigating family drama, Tristan has always been there. After Noah's first date with Julia, he found himself six hours late to a visit to Tristan’s house in Natchitoches (thanks to an unexpectedly long 9-hour coffee date), but Tristan was, of course, understanding. He’s been by the groom’s side through it all, and Noah can’t wait to have him there on the big day.

Noah and Justin’s friendship started in the most modern way—online, back in high school. What began as casual gaming sessions quickly turned into a very real bond. Over the years, they’ve traveled to see each other, including the spontaneous road trip Cody and Noah took, and multiple visits for Justin’s wedding in 2022, where Noah had the honor of being best man. He’s excited to have Justin be a part of the big day.

Darren and Noah met at Our Daily Bread Foodbank the same week he met Julia. They actually sat in the Canes just down the road together as Noah carefully crafted the first texts he ever sent her and asked for advice. Whether they were sharing high-energy moments during sports or service, Darren’s infectious positivity has always helped elevate Noah’s outlook on life. The bride and groom know his presence will similarly elevate all the experiences they share in the lead up to the wedding.

The church is situated right in Old Mandeville, with its cute historic buildings and view of the Ponchartrain. Taking a walk along the Lakefront, you can find delightful places to eat, adorable stores and thrift shops. We recommend McClain's Pizzaria on 115 Girod Street (which we visited on our second date).
