IMPORTANT: The Name of our venue has changed due to switching owners!

The location of the venue has not changed, just the name of it due to switching owners! Formerly The Ace Hotel is now The Barnett Hotel. Our welcome party, ceremony, reception and farewell get together will still be held at:

600 Carondelet St,

New Orleans, LA. 70130

Why New Orleans?

Simply put, it's our favorite city!

We wanted a wedding in a city with historical charm, beautiful architecture, and natural appeal where our guests from all over the country could come and experience New Orleans. You can't beat the food, music, or vibe of New Orleans and we guarantee it'll be an experience!

What is the dress code?

Black tie attire is encouraged. Men, should wear a suit and tie (if they do not choose to wear a tuxedo). Women should wear a floor-length dress, although a classy cocktail dress is acceptable.

Please note our venue does not permit blue jeans, khakis or ballcaps.

Because we will be doing the second line parade, please wear shoes that are comfortable for walking/dancing. Thin heels are discouraged due to the pavement and cobblestone streets can be uneven. Thicker heels, flats or bringing a change of shoes is a great option.

Is this an indoor or outdoor event?

The wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors. Our second line parade will be outdoors as we’ll be taking over the streets of New Orleans.

How do I get around?

Guest need to arrange travel to and from the airport and wedding. Uber/Lyft are readily available and easy to use!

The French Quarter is most easily explored by foot, if you are staying in one of the French Quarter hotels, make sure to bring comfortable shoes!

The Ace Hotel is in the Warehouse District and is on the Trolley Car line making it easily accessible to the French Quarter and the Garden District. The hotel has valet parking available for a set price if you decide to drive yourself, other than that there are pay to park lots within walking distance of the hotel!

What is the weather like in New Orleans?

The weather in New Orleans can be unpredictable! New Orleans Weather in October can be perfect with warm but pleasant days and mild to cool, comfortable nights. This is the driest month of the year in the Big Easy and perfect for exploring all that the city has to offer. Early in the month, the days are warm with afternoon temperatures in the low to mid-80s. Early morning low temperatures may dip into the upper 60s. After a hot and humid summer, New Orleans cools down slightly. Be sure to pack both long pants and short pants. The same goes for shirts. Also, be sure to pack sunscreen, a hat, and sandals. Summer dress works well for New Orleans this month; however, a light sweater may be in order for the cooler nights towards the end of the month.

What is a Second line?

A Second Line is a parade traditionally held for funerals or weddings in New Orleans. Police lead the parade and ensure the route is cleared of vehicles to make way for the brass band and all guests to dance through the streets celebrating the newlyweds! The parade will be about a half mile so comfortable shoes are recommended because New Orleans is an old city and some streets are still the original cobblestones! Guests will have favors to carry as well as a beverage to sip on, so plan to 'travel light'. The parade should last about 30 minutes but the memories will last a lifetime! Feel free to use your phones and document the memories, you're the life of the party and travelers will stop to watch and sometimes even join YOU! A good parade needs energetic guests and we KNOW you know how to party!

What if I have a food allergy?

While we have tried to make our menu all-inclusive to accommodate our vegetarian and gluten-free guests, if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements, please relay that information on the online RSVP card.

Will this be a sober wedding weekend?

Although we do not drink, we will be providing alcohol during our welcome party, reception and afterparty! For our sober friends and family we will have an array of sodas, teas and mocktails available all weekend!
