The story begins back when the bride and groom were in middle school. Their paths crossed every month at youth rallies, but they shared nothing more than the occasional glance across the room. Their youth groups would jest and tease them about one another, but this resulted in nothing more than funny nicknames given. The bride and groom grew up and went to different colleges, assuming their past interest to be nothing more than a youth group crush. However, in 2023, the two were reacquainted over Christmas break with a little help from family and friends. They unintentionally crossed paths in a busy airport on the way back to their respective colleges, and the groom made his move just a few short weeks later. The two talked nonstop the next semester even through the 6 hour time difference as the bride spent a semester studying abroad in the United Kingdom. At the end of the semester the bride traveled to Oklahoma to see the groom complete his degree and receive his diploma. The day after graduation, the groom asked the bride to be his girlfriend, and she said yes! The summer came with two months of long distance, serving the Lord in different capacities. They saw one another briefly at the end of summer before parting ways as the bride left to finish her college education and the the groom stayed behind, serving faithfully in his church. The bride and groom were able to see each other every month after this and spend time with one another, growing, laughing, and serving the Lord together. Christmas break came, and the bride and groom enjoyed their longest period of time together in person. On January 4, the groom got down on one knee and asked the bride to marry him in a cold but memorable hot air balloon. The Bride, of course, said yes! After their wedding, the two will serve the Lord together as youth leaders at Rocky Mountain Bible Baptist Church in Longmont, CO. Both feeling a call to ministry, they are excited to see where God will take them as they embark on a lifetime of serving Jesus side by side.
