How We MetIt all started at the wedding of our dear friends, Kara and Torrance. Carsyn was Kara’s Maid of Honor, Noah was a groomsman, and Kara (even on her own wedding day!) was determined to play matchmaker. She’d already been showing Carsyn photos of Noah, and with his humor and personality shining through in Torrance’s Discord server, the interest was definitely there. By the time the reception rolled around, there was a little nudging, a little elbowing, and finally Noah asked Carsyn to dance. Her response? “Only if I get your number.”His reply? “I can do that.” That one silly exchange turned into an entire night of talking, laughing, and getting to know each other. By the end of the evening, we traded numbers — and the rest was history.

"I Love You"Not long after, Carsyn hopped on a plane to Pennsylvania, where Noah was living at the time. He had the whole week planned out for us— adventures, little day trips, and time to simply be together off-screen. One evening, we drove to Ocean City, New Jersey, and strolled the boardwalk before Noah took her to a special spot so they could watch the sunset. That’s when Noah finally said what we had both been holding back for months: “I love you.”It was the perfect moment — not rushed, not overthought, but exactly as it was meant to be. From then on, the distance didn’t feel so hard, because we both knew this was it.

The ProposalThis one could win an award for “Best Surprise.” Carsyn had just gotten her hair done and needed updated photos for her portfolio regarding her future and career. Naturally, her mom — who’s a photographer — offered to take some pictures at the gardens during golden hour. Totally normal. Totally believable. Why wouldn't Carsyn want some extra sundress photos for her instagram? What Carsyn didn’t know was that her mom and Noah had been planning the entire thing for weeks. Michele and Carsyn laughed through the photoshoot, posed, and Carsyn played along, until Michele told her to pause and look far to the left for a shot. Of course, this was "to really get your profile for the photo"; a believable comment from mom. Out of the corner of her eye, Carsyn noticed someone walking up — and there was Noah, ring in hand. She was completely caught off guard (and maybe jumped a little. Actually, a lot.) With her Michele capturing every second, Noah got down on one knee. After a lot of "Oh my gosh"'s, of course, Carsyn said yes.

My best friend since 4th grade— even though a screen was usually between us, our friendship was so personal. Two introverts staying up until 5am playing games on summer nights… those memories shaped my childhood. You’ve seen every side of me and helped me through every season. We've literally watched each other grow up. I couldn’t imagine this day without you standing with me.

My strong cousin. Your resilience and fire in yourself and life has always inspired me. Some of the best memories we shared were at Grandma Marilyn’s, and I’ll always hold them close. Those days remind me how blessed I was with the best childhood, and I’m thankful you were part of it. I wouldn’t be who I am without you — you’ve always been family, in every sense of the word.
