We met back in 2014, your classic high school sweetheart setup. Maria was the outgoing one, and Noah was a little quieter—especially around Maria. We started off doing the usual high school couple things: movies, ice cream runs, and lots of walks through West Hartford Center. But more than anything, we just really loved being around each other. It was easy. It was fun. It felt like home. College took us to different places for a while—until Covid hit and Noah had to come back home. Maria was very okay with that. After that came grad and medical school, which took us even farther apart in miles—but never in heart. We always knew we had each other. Ten years later, Noah was smart enough to get down on one knee—and Maria was smart enough to say yes.
