Transportation

Lake Placid is a 4 ½ hour drive from Newark, LaGuardia, or Boston airports, and a 2 hour drive from Montreal, Albany or Burlington airports. If you are flying in you will likely need a rental car.

See Schedule Details on driving and parking at Snow Hill on the wedding day or location and times for shuttles.

Lodging

The Reception is at Snow Hill Farms, 3 miles from downtown Lake Placid, but downtown on Mirror Lake is where you want to stay. Note: The town of Lake Placid is on Mirror Lake, not actually on the lake called Lake Placid.

Mirror Lake, pictured below, is only a 2.5 mile distance all the way around, so any hotels and. Rentals along the left along the outer curve are very close to town.

HOTELS

All of the hotels along Main Street are options, but we have listed a few below. They are all walking distance to each other and town. A room block is available at two hotels.

Hampton Inn. $285. To reserve a room, click here, or call 800-HILTON and ask for the Rosa Ebertin room block or use code 901. Note: 30 day cancellation required and 2 night minimum.

The Hampton Inn is located right on the lake, right next to where we hope to gather Friday depending on weather.

Crown Plaza. $199. To reserve a room, call the hotel at 518-523-2556 or 1-800-874-1980. and ask for the Rosa Ebertin room block. Note: 30 day cancellation required and 2 night minimum.

The Crown Plaza has beautiful views from the Great Room, or if you request a lake view room, as it is elevated above town and Mirror Lake. It’s a very short walk to town, but it includes a hill - - only about 100 yards, but it is a little steep.

Airbnb and VRBO are a great option for groups. If you find a VRBO and want to know how close it is to town, let us know and we’re happy to help you make sure it is a close walk. We've stayed in a bunch of the rental houses over the years.

Other hotels – all good options:

Mirror Lake Inn – nicer old resort hotel, on the northern end of Main street (but still close to town).

Grand Adirondack Hotel – new, right on Main Street. Marriott Bonvoy participant

The Haus – eclectic, some suites, right on Main Street

There are other hotels close by as well. Email Taradaveyrosa@gmail.com if you want more guidance!
